Welcome to Vet Tech Mom Life!

Hi! I’m your host Jill, and I am a Vet Tech Mom {see also “Mama Bear”, “Motherrrrr” in a snarky adolescent tone sometimes with an eye roll and “Chaos Coordinator”}

I’ve been in vet med longer than some of y’all have been alive, I bet. I started in the kennel of a veterinary hospital about 30 years ago, which is dog years is approximately 639. Over the years, let’s just say, I’ve seen some stuff. Along the way, I got my tech license, dabbled in wildlife rehab, worked with horses and zoo animals, done all the side hustles like grooming and pet sitting, had a couple (amazing) kids and watched the field grow and change in many remarkable ways.

I guess I want to use this platform to share, laugh, vent, cry and maybe educate. Some posts will be relevant to colleagues, some will be relevant to all moms, some will be relevant to the public in general. Hopefully they will all be easy to read and give you a quick break from real life. I want to invite you to read along and share in the absurd, heartwarming, infuriating stories within.

So come on in, look around and enjoy!
